Dormitories | Houses | Greek Life
Dormitories

There are three dorms on campus, McLaggen, Shacklebolt, and Slughorn hall. Each one has it's unique look and appeal to it. Every residence hall has it's own dining hall that serves three meals a day and usually open late at night, especially during midterms and finals. Under classmen are required to spend their first year in the dorms and strongly suggested that they do so their second year as well, after that they can stay if they wish or they can live elsewhere. However, a majority of students choose to still live in the dormitories.

McLaggen
McLaggen hall typically houses the Upper classmen. Each dorm room is set up apartment style, with two bedrooms a bathroom and a small living space. Two desks and chair sets, a mini-fridge, two beds, two dressers, and a book shelf are provided. Rooms are same sex, however, the floors are co-ed.

Residents: Ernest Macmillan, Sylvia Macmillan, Piper Monroe, Kellan Rivers, Lila Weasley, Zeke Zannella.
Shacklebolt
Shacklebolt hall houses a mix of Upper and Lower classmen. Each room room has two rooms and a communal bathroom down the hall way. For this reason each room and floor are by sex. 2 sets of a desk and chair, 2 dressers, a mini-fridge, bed and a bookshelf are provided.

Residents: Brennan Bradley, Marisol Delgado, Dean Macmillan, Andrew Finch-Fletchley, Christine Finch-Fletchley, Joshua Hart, Juliette Hart, Peyton Macmillan, Bethany Montague, Felicity Weasley
Slughorn
Slughorn houses mostly Under classmen (1st and 2nd years). Each room is one room with two beds, one dress two desks and chairs, and shares a bathroom with the room next door. Mini-fridges and shelving are also provided. Rooms that link together are same sex, floors are co-ed.

Residents: Justin Boot, Timothy Boot, Adriana Macmillan, Luther Peaks, Aine Potter, Nicholas Potter, Jason Slater.

Houses

Eolas owns several houses that are on the edges of campus and in the neighbouring town. Each house can hold four to eight people depending on the size of the house. Most furnishings and appliances are provided along with a washer and dryer. They are free to decorate as they please (beds are provided, bedding is not), including repainting should they choose. However, meals are not provided as they are in the dormitory. Houses are only open to Upper classmen (Years 3+).

134 Oakview
This four bedroom house is located on the edge of campus and a short walk from the library. People who live in this house are known for their dedication to academics and have a strict quiet hour policy between the hours of ten pm and seven am that is enforced by the people who live there. Lately it has tended to house those going into more "serious" professions (Healing, Law, Law Enforcement, etc.).

Residents: Phillip Goldstein, Asher Macmillan, Aiden Moran, Anabel Moran.
This house is now full
245 Pineview
This six bedroom house is typically known for being a little more active than the others. It is housed in town and is a short walk away from the pubs and about a ten minute walk from campus. This is a co-ed house, has a large back yard, and the residents who live here are expected to fix anything they break. A majority of College of Science students live here, though it's not mandatory.

Residents: Harper Duke, Jordan Hollyer, Eloise Lupin, Noah Moran, Raquel Wood.
614 Mapleview
This six bedroom house is relativity new, and typically houses a hodgepodge of students. The main feature is the new appliances, and its housed in town but still a very short walk onto campus. The house is co-ed but strongly recommended that the floors be separated by sex. All students who live here are typically more active in the community and within the University.

Residents: Holly Entwhistle, Otto Macmillan, Brian McLaggen, David Monroe, Mason Scott.
143 Oakview
This house is seven bedrooms and is located on campus. The students who live are expected to maintain an "Acceptable" average in their school work and are also expected to not cause too much trouble. Not as strict as the other Oakview house, however, this would be a good housing option for those students who are very serious about their studies. This house is a short walk away from the lecture halls, and is co-ed.

Residents: Taylor Boot, Danielle Macmillan, Isabella Macmillan, Veronica Nott.
285 Pineview
This is a eight bedroom house is known for its laid back attitude. It hoses both sexes and only requires students to maintain a "Acceptable" average in their final grades. About a ten minute walk from campus, and is almost in the heart of the town, this house has a little bit to offer for everyone, the main draw is the giant basement that has been redone by a previous owner that includes a small bar and billiards table.

Residents: Zachary Longbottom, Killian Potter, Alexandria Slater, MacKenzie Slater, Charlotte Weasley.
620 Mapleview
This is five bedroom house is the only same sex house off campus. The residence in this house can expect to find a close walk to campus and a relativity short walk to the centre of the town. There are no academic or social recommendations or requirements to live here, other than you have to be an Upper classmen and be of the same gender as the current residents.

Greek Life

For the longest time, do to the culture of muggle University life in Britain and Ireland those who belonged to a Fraternity or a Sorority were in the vast minority. However, in the early 2020's this began to change and by 2050 Greek Life became as regular to the University system as it is in North America. It took a few years after the founding of Eolas to get the Greek Life going, but now that it has arrived it's starting to take on a life of its own. All houses have beds in each of the rooms (most people living in these houses will share a room), full kitchens, washer/dryer, and desk sets along with any all furniture they may need (each house varies).

Η Θ Τ

The girls of the Eta Theta Tau house are the more out going of the two sorority houses on campus. They're active in University life and tend to be the more selective of the two houses, welcoming, but still selective.

Members: Hannah Ackerley, Amira Bradley, Aspen Duke, Mary Zannella.

Girls of Zeta Delta are a little less selective, but still selective in their own way. In order to be an "active sister" you must maintain a decent grade average and be active with in the Zeta Delta family.

The boys of the Alpha Sigma Fraternity have been known to house everyone from jocks to nerds. It's the more open of the two houses, and while they're known for "having fun", this "fun" usually doesn't involve parties with alcohol as "technically" they're a dry house (which really just means "don't get caught" and is ignored frequently).

Members: Otto Macmillan, Rhys Macmillan, Ethan Montague, Gavin Owen.

Epsilon Iota Kappa tend to have more...elite members in it. If it is for athletics, academics, or social status, these men take only the best, and aren't afraid to hide it. They are very welcoming once you're in, but getting in is the hard part.

Members: Thomas Ackerley, Ryan Cassidy, Edward Entwhistle, Michael Flint, Sebastian Malfoy.

President: Michael Flint
Vice President: Ryan Cassidy

Recruitment/Rush Chair: Edward Entwhistle

*Note: Not everyone has to live here (unless your an Under class men) naturally those not in school won't live in these, and Upper Classmen do have the option to live off campus and in housing not owned by the University. However, keep in mind, what kind of play this might give you. :)
